Why would you charter a private jet?
If you are considering a jet charter company, well – you could charter one for a wedding, for example. We say this tongue in cheek especially after the furor over the much publicised Gupta wedding that was splashed over the front pages of the tabloids in recent weeks where a private jet was chartered from India and landed at our military air base!
But chartering a private jet is more than sensationalism. It is about convenience and practicality, filling in those gaps that airlines often cannot.
Companies frequently charter a private jet to have access to parts of the country where the customary flights cannot take them; a perfect example of this is mining houses and engineering firms that often send their engineers off to remote places where solar farms and wind farms, plus a plethora of other industries are being erected and built.
With progress there is often an element of expense and inconvenience, but this can be overcome with a little bit of imagination and careful planning.
A jet charter company is a practical solution to an impractical problem. Many parts of South Africa cannot be reached on time for meetings or construction or simply are too far out of the way for the usual airlines to reach.
More often than not a plethora of expensive and delicate equipment plus an entire team from one company need to be incorporated into the exercise which simply cannot fit or will not travel the usual way. Private jet charter in many instances is a cheaper option when having to take into account all these and other attention to all other finer details.
Getting there is often logistically awkward or expensive, yet surprisingly enough few companies make use of the convenience of chartering a private jet.
Should you find that you or your team need to get somewhere remote, but no conventional airline will be going there anytime soon, aircraft charter will step in and save the day.
